From 8th to 11th April in Perugia, the appointment with the imagination and creativity renews.

FantaCity Festival continues to grow and becomes an international event.

The festival of fantasy and creativity, born 4 years ago in the heart of the historical center of Perugia as Fantasio Festival, continues to grow and now, in 2010, turns its name to FantaCity Festival and becomes an international event.

FantaCity opens to Europe and the world and, from 8th to 11th April 2010, will invade again the Umbrian chief town, its streets and squares, gardens, cloisters, theatres, mansions and the spaces of the Rocca Paolina, the enchanting 15th century fortress in the old town center of Perugia.
After the great success of the previous editions, which have drawn thousands of people including adults, children, families and schools, the appointment with FantaCity will be even more colored and fanciful: a multi-thematic event rich in activities, ideas, experiments and guests from all over the world. Literature, art, music, dance, philosophy, performing arts and theatre will be the main topics of the festival. Entertainment promoters and experts of different nationalities will organize games, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and showings. The innovation of this edition is also the broadening of the audience: the recipients of the initiatives are no more only children, who always remain the privileged interlocutors of the Festival, but also youths aged 14 and over, which is dedicated to the appropriate section of FantaCity Young Festival.
There will be activities for parents and educators as well. Moreover, the partners’ network, which organizes the event and helps to finalize the program, widens and crosses the national boundaries. Publishers, Universities, training centers, institutions and associations, together with the Organizing Committee, are all working on developing a program for the event with the goal to make it a cultural and entertainment success for young people. From 8th to 11th April will take place over 100 activities.

There will be many personalities, experts, actors, writers, singers, dancers, jugglers, and funny persons. The competitions dedicated to the schools will be two: one reserved for the Primary Schools of the national territory and the other one for boys and girls of the international Secondary Schools. Taking part to the FantaCity Festival is completely free to all visitors and easily accessible to everyone.
